I always turn to the Marc by Marc Jacobs line for fun items without it being exorbitantly priced. The Marc by Marc Jacobs Wild Cherry Dress sports a retro throw back feel with its cherry print on the solar purple sleeveless dress. Purple is always such an amazing color; it is fun, elegant, regal, and flirty all at once. The dress has a V-neck wrap bodice and button tabs on the shoulders and hips. Great with a pair of black leggings and a pair of patent peep-toe pumps, this dress is sure to be an attention grabber.

Thomas Wylde Pharos Maxi Dress
While mini-dresses were the big trend last spring and summer, length is what has taken over this spring and summer. No more must you worry about toning your legs just for the hot item of the season, now you can hide it all under your dress that goes to the floor. But honestly, it is also swim suit season and you can not hide much in a suit. The colors are blase, but the Thomas Wylde Pharos Maxi Dress will look great on the right skin tone and body. This dress is designed with flesh colored silk and jersey material and features a crystal embossed scorpion on the racer back. It would not be Thomas Wylde if it did not add some sort of edgy extra dimension. There is a contrast panel half way down the dress and the top is lined. While this dress does not suit everyone, it can be a long option for some.

I was surprised to see that any of you were not fond of the Tory Burch Reva Ballet Flats when I covered them earlier. While the shoes did take a little bit of time for me to break them in, I felt that was normal as shoes go and once they fit, they became my favorite slip ons. I recently went to the Tory Burch store at Bal Harbour to maybe pick up one more pair of shoes, and left with three new pairs, a new cardigan, and a new jacket. I could not resist! The new shoes on the block are the Tory Burch Round Toe Ballet Flats. They combine a feeling of the Reva Ballet’s with a hint of casual converse flats. Overall, the look is amazing! I picked up red and a tan color. They run big and they are not as stretchy as the Reva Ballets, but they are so chic. My favorite ended up being the red pair, because they offer such a great pop of color with a casual appeal. The sneaker inspired fabric is trimmed with shiny patent leather and features a toned down Tory Burch logo up front. Available in black and green at Saks (but a wide variety of other colors at your local retailer of Tory Burch goods).

This is the perfect cocktail dress!! I absolutely love everything about it, enough so that I am seriously contemplating pressing the button to add it to my shopping cart. The Oscar de la Renta Ikat Bubble Cocktail Dress is a fun and flirty multicolored cotton and silk strapless dress with a bubble hem. The only thing that would make this better is the perfect pair of peep-toe heels and you are going to be looking fabulous. I can picture myself wearing this in a trendy bar during happy hour with the girls. The bust features a built-in support so you can get away without having to wear a strapless bra. The skirt does have two slip pockets, which on some dresses is not super flattering. On this dress though it is perfect because the top of the dress is fitted.

Any of you fans of American Idol? I have been off an on a fan of the show, watching religiously one season and skipping out on the next. This season I am back in and obsessed with the show (who does not love David Archuleta?!). There was another gal, can’t remember her name or whether or not sh was the one voted off, meaning she is obviously forgettable, but I loved the dress she wore last week.
